As some of you may be aware, we are hosting The Cavalcade of Marching Bands on Wednesday, October 1st, at Western Wayne High School.
The Wildcats Marching Band & Color Guard hosts this event every two years, with anywhere from 8 to 12 high school marching bands, with up to 500 marching band students attending. Over the past decade, we’ve had various school marching bands from Wayne, Pike, Monroe, and Lackawanna Counties participate, during which, every school showcases its halftime field show performances. These have included competition and non-competition style marching bands.
Due to the number of estimated band students, parents, and members of the community that come to this event, we are asking for help with the event. Any adult can sign up to help volunteer for this event – you do not need to be a Chaperone or have school clearances to help with this event, you just need to volunteer your time. There are many different areas where we will need assistance. If you are interested in helping out, please click this link:

Even if the spots are filled up, we may still need some additional assistance, especially when it comes to concessions and bagging food for all of the participating band students whom we must feed. We also will need help setting up various other things for the event as well. These positions might not be listed on the signup page, so please feel free to reach out to one of the Band Parent Officers if you are looking to help with something which is not listed on the sign up page.
Please invite your family and friends to come out that night and support, not only the Wildcat Marching Band, but also other area school bands. Community support for music and the arts is a vital part of helping keep music and art programs alive in school districts all across NEPA.
Please share the flyer below, to help spread the word regarding this event.
