Good Afternoon Everyone,
Summer band season is almost upon us! I am very excited to get back into the swing of things and see the students again.
Tomorrow’s rehearsal is just for student leadership (drum majors, section leaders, and officers) to get organized before the season begins in earnest.
Your student will be receiving a message from their section leader in the next week or so to answer any questions they may have, and to make sure they know what to bring to rehearsals. If you know your student may need help getting to and from rehearsals, have them let their section leader know so we can work on carpooling. In a district of our size, there are band and guard members coming from all directions, some of whom are more than happy to assist with rides. I was a carpool kid when I was in school, and it really helped take the burden off my family with all of us kids going different places during the year.
If you have not heard from the band parents yet, please contact Rachel Fitmorris at secretary.wwbpa@gmail.com to be added to the list. She will send out meeting reminders, fundraiser updates, and other important information as the year progresses.
